WordPress is more than a Content Management System (CMS). WordPress is a community of designers and developers working together to create an open source platform that allows for modification and improvements. International collaboration is the norm, for example: it is easy to see a Russian developer working with their German or Indian counterparts creating a plugin that will benefit the whole WordPress community.
