We recommend that your domain is registered for more than one year.

Google and other search engines like to see domains that have been registered for extended periods of time as this shows a commitment to the domain name. It also is an indicator that this website is not a temporary spam site. If you let the name of your site expire you will not be able to see your website/blog. This has nothing to do with hosting or the correct functioning of your site.

WARNING: if your domain name has reached its expiration date, systems deactivate your domain and you will no longer be able to manage it. However you can still renew it during a grace period (20 days). After this period has expired, we cannot warranty the ability to renew a domain name. After the renewal grace period your domain will be deleted, or you may have bid against other people who want your name! However you may still be able to re-activate it for an extra fee (the domain name reactivation fee).

We strongly encourage you to renew your domain name well before its expiration date as once the expiration date has passed there is no warranty that you will be able to recover your domain name.

If you do not wish to renew your domain name, then simply ignore our reminders and it will automatically expire. There will be no further charges to you and/or obligations on your part.
